How offers work, step by step

From writing the offer to hearing back from the seller.

Your agent drafts a written offer that includes your proposed price, financing details, requested contingencies, your proposed closing date, and any personal items you'd like included. The seller can accept, reject, or counter, and a counter can go back and forth more than once before you land on terms both sides agree to. Once everyone signs, you're officially "under contract," which kicks off the timeline you'll manage in Phase 6.
