What to look for at showings
Train your eye to notice what matters beyond the staging.
Staging is designed to make you feel something. Your job is to look past it. Open closets and cabinets, check water pressure, look for water stains on ceilings, test outlets, and pay attention to smells (they're often masking something). Ask how old the roof, water heater, and HVAC system are. None of this replaces a professional inspection later, but training your eye now means fewer surprises and better questions when that day comes.
