What inspectors check

A look at the systems and structures a standard inspection covers.

A standard home inspection covers the roof, foundation, structure, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, attic, and basement or crawl space, generally everything visible and accessible without opening up walls. Specialty inspections (sewer scope, radon, mold, pest) usually cost extra and aren't always included. Ask whether any of these make sense for the property you're considering.
