It's easy to get swept up by a beautiful finish and forget about the thirty-minute commute that comes with it. Before you start touring, decide which features are true non-negotiables (commute time, number of bedrooms, budget ceiling) and which would just be nice (a soaking tub, a finished basement, a particular style). This is an optional quick triage: sort the ones that matter, skip the rest. Pull the list back up after every showing to keep you grounded when emotions start running the show.
